Yoga Exercises to Reduce Belly Fat

Belly fat is problem for many people and lots wanna get rid of it fast. While exercise and diet are important, yoga can also help reduce belly fat if you do it regular. Yoga not only burns calories but also helps digestion and reduces stress, which all important for losing belly fat.

Here I’ll tell you some easy yoga exercises that can help reduce belly fat. But remember, yoga alone wont do magic. You gotta eat healthy and practice consistantly.

1. Boat Pose (Navasana)

This pose is great for strengthen your core muscles which helps with belly fat.

How to do: Sit on floor with legs out straight. Now lift legs up and balance on your sitting bones. Keep back straight and stretch arms forward parallel to floor. Hold position and breath deep for 20-30 seconds. Repeat 3-4 times.

2. Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana)

Cobra pose helps tone your abs and improves digestion.

How to do: Lie down on stomach with palms under shoulders. Inhale and lift chest up keeping hips on floor. Hold for 15-20 seconds and breath slow. Repeat 3 times.

3. Plank Pose (Kumbhakasana)

Plank is an awesome full body exercise but specially works your core.

How to do: Get in push-up position, keep arms straight and body in straight line from head to heels. Engage belly muscles and hold 20-30 seconds. Repeat 3 times.

4. Bow Pose (Dhanurasana)

This pose stretches belly and tones abs.

How to do: Lie on stomach and bend knees. Grab ankles with hands and lift chest and legs off floor. Hold 15-20 seconds and slowly release. Repeat 3 times.

5. Wind Relieving Pose (Pawanmuktasana)

Helps improve digestion and reduce bloating.

How to do: Lie on back and bring knees to chest. Hug tight and lift head to try touch nose to knees. Hold 20 seconds and release. Repeat 3-4 times.

Tips for best results

  • Do these poses regulerly atleast 4-5 times a week

  • Combine yoga with healthy diet and some cardio for better results

  • Drink lots of water and avoid junk food

  • Be patient belly fat takes time to reduce
