3. Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is super important for blood and nerves and helps oxygen get to hair follicles. If you’re low on B12, hair can get weak and fall out.

Vegans and vegetarians are at risk coz B12 mostly comes from animal foods. Lack of B12 also causes anemia which makes hair loss worse.

4. Vitamin A

Vitamin A helps cells grow, including hair cells. But too much or too little vitamin A can cause hair loss! So it’s a tricky one.

It’s not only vitamins, minerals like iron and zinc are important too. Iron deficiency is a big reason for hair loss coz iron helps blood carry oxygen to hair follicles.

Zinc helps fix damaged hair and scalp. No zinc, no good hair.

It’s hard to know if vitamins are the problem coz hair loss has many causes. Signs to watch:

  • Hair thinning all over or patches

  • Nails get brittle or weird

  • Feeling tired all the time

  • Dry skin or itchy scalp

If you think vitamins, get blood tests from a doc. Don’t just start taking vitamins willy-nilly coz too much is bad.
