Are Cherries Good For You?

So I was eating cherries the other day and started thinking, “Are these things actually good for me or just a tasty snack?” Turns out cherries got some cool stuff going on but also some stuff to watch out for.

lemme break it down for u…

Why cherries are good (mostly)

  1. Antioxidents (or something like that)
    Cherries have antioxidants, which help fight off bad stuff in your body like pollution and stress. They say it helps with inflammation too, so maybe if you’re sore or something cherries could help.

  2. Vitamins
    They got vitamin C (which is nice for your skin and immune system) and vitamin A (which helps your eyes or something). Not a huge amount but still better than nothing.

  3. Help you sleep?
    Cherries have melatonin which is that sleep hormone. Some people say drinking juice helps u sleep better. Idk if it works for everyone but might be worth a try if u have trouble sleeping.

  4. Low calories
    If you’re watching weight or just want a snack that isn’t junk food, cherries are low cal and juicy. So you can eat some without feeling super guilty.

But They got some cons too…

  • They got sugar, natural sugar but still sugar. So if ur diabetic or watching sugar, be careful not to eat a ton.

  • They have fiber, which is excellent but too much cherries can give you tummy ache or diarrhea lol (I learned that the hard way).

  • Don’t choke on the pits! Those little things are hard and can mess up your teeth or throat if you’re not careful.

So are cherries good or nah?

Yeah, they’re good for you in moderation. Not some miracle food but better than candy lol. Just dont go crazy eating pounds of them.

If u like cherries, eat away! Just don’t get crazy and eat the whole bowl in one sitting like I almost did.
