ok so first of all swollen feet are the WORST like idk if its from walking too much, sitting too long, salty food or just life but either way it’s mad annoying. I get it mostly when im on my feet all day or like traveling or even when it’s super hot. sometimes it looks like my foot’s not even a foot anymore lmao
anyway i started lookin up what u can drink to help with it and found a few things that actually kinda worked. not gonna lie i was skeptical but some of these drinks did help reduce the swelling like after a day or so.
1. water (yes plain old water)
ok so i know this sounds dumb but seriously if u not drinking enough water then ur body holds onto water more. that sounds backwards but it’s true. more water = less swelling. idk how it works but it do
i used to drink like 1 or 2 cups a day and wonder why my legs felt like marshmallows. now i carry a bottle everywhere and try to drink like 8 cups at least. helps a lot.
2. lemon in water
so this is just water but with lemon lmao but it’s actually better. lemon helps u pee more (weird but good) and it also kinda detoxes u i think?? idk what detox really means but ppl say it so ♀️
i do warm lemon water in the morning and ngl i feel less bloated and my feet weren’t so tight in my shoes that day so maybe it helps
3. dandilion tea
yes i spelled it wrong idc it’s the flower thing that grows in yards. u can buy it as tea tho from stores or amazon or whatever. it’s a natural duretic (that means makes u pee more i think? lol)
i drank it and was peein like every 10 mins but the next day my feet was not puffed up like before. the taste is ehh but u can add honey or smth
4. coconut water
this stuff SLAPS. it taste good and it helps with swelling coz it has potasium (i think thats how u spell it? idk) and that balances out all the salt in ur body. too much salt = swollen feet and fingers and everything else
just don’t get the one with a ton of added sugar. i did that once and it made me feel worse ngl
5. green tea
green tea is another one ppl always say to drink and i was like whatever it’s just tea but it does help with bloating and swelling i think. i drink it cold bcoz hot drinks in summer is gross
plus it’s good for digestion or whatever. honestly idk how it works but it’s on every health blog so i trust it
6. apple cyder vinager water
this one is… um… not tasty but it helps. 1 spoon of acv (the cloudy kind is better i heard??) in a glass of water and just chug it fast. it helps with inflamation and gets rid of water retention or smth like that
but don’t do it too much. once or twice a day MAX or ur stomach will be like no thanks
other stuff that helps too (not drinks but still)

put ur feet up like literally lay down and stack some pillows under them

cut back on salt sorry but chips might be the enemy

compression socks look ugly but work lol

look im not a doctor so don’t come for me but this stuff helped ME and i hope it helps someone else too. swollen feet suck and u don’t have to just deal with it. drink more water, try some of the teas, maybe cut back on all that salty takeout (i kno it’s hard lol)
if ur feet keep swelling up bad for no reason tho, go see a real doctor ok? better safe than sorry
